Any Mass. Correctional nurses out there??

Hi everyone - I'm leaving LTC after 4+ years and I have an interview with a corrections facility on Monday. I have never done this type of nursing before and I would appreciate any feedback on this subject......(i.e. what questions should I be asking during interview - what can I expect ?) Any FYI's will be appreciated........thanks

Hi Margie,

Wondering how the new (or not so new anymore) job is going? Was looking at some old mail and remembered you were looking at Middleton. Whole new staff there now. Everyone left. PM me and let me know what your doing now. Hope all is well.

Hi not a MA prison nurse but I was a NH state prison nurse for 7 years. Loved it. Tough for my husband though. I am now an acute care ED nurse. Felt safer and better treated by the inmates then I do the patients and there families. As long as you are fair firm consistent and honest you will do well. In my experience the touhest thing people tell me to get used to is the closing of the doors. They ask pretty much the same questions as they do anywhere else.
