Any Baylor applicants out there????

Hi... I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that is applying to Baylor this year and if so, what is your experience/scores/etc?

It is a very competetive program and I am second guessing the strength of my application. :urgycld:

GPA 3.4

Nursing GPA- 4.0

GRE- 1200 / writing 4.5

ACLS/TNCC/CCRN

5 years experience in a Trauma/Surgical ICU in a level one county hospital

Thanks!!!

I'm not there yet, but Baylor is the school I plan on applying to in 2010. I called and spoke with someone on staff there and asked the class average on the stats...you are within range. They said the average gpa was 3.4 and GRE was 1100. Sounds like your in good shape. Do you have PALS? You don't happen to work at Ben Taub TSICU do you?

Thanks. Yes, I have Pals too. I live and work in Louisianna but plan to move home with my family if accepted. They live in The Houston area. Easier on the budget! Heard of that hospital but never worked there. Is that where you are? Aren't they affiliated with Baylor?

I worked there as a traveler for a 13wk assignment. They are the Level 1 trauma center here and yes Baylor does like 9 mths clinical at Ben Taub. It's a good learning experience. I would say you wouldn't have any problem if you work Trauma. Good Luck!
