I just graduated a few days ago and have been stalking UAB's AMNP page relentlessly. I have read so much information on here, but still unsure about everything. During undergrad, I played around and also became extremely sick. I made two Ds in anatomy and had to take a W in my first attempt at Anatomy. My most recent semester I finished with a 3.9 for the semester. I am studying to take the GRE and plan to take anatomy over in January. I have a decent amount of healthcare experience in many areas-hospice, pediatric, nursing home, NICU, ICU, etc.
Will those Ws and Ds really effect my chances? I read a lot that GPA plays a factor but overall determination and goals is a bigger factor. I am super stressed about this. However, I plan to make As in my retakes and actually make the effort I should have made in my first few years of college.
Thanks!
