I've been out of the nursing field for years but a friend asked me about his father (an ALS pt) flying to Hawaii. He does use oxygen prn but the airline says he may not take his own unit with him in the cabin. They have "provisions". Does anyone
have any idea what those provisions are? And will the pressurization cause him a problem? Thanks for any input. I did tell friend to contact the airline and find out EXACTLY what those provisions are and to check with his respiratory therapists. The airline has not been too helpful.
