Advice for requesting internal transfer....

Hi I am a new grad employed at the nursing resource team of our hospital for 4 months, three of those has been orientation to several different units. To make a long story short, I am not enjoying floating and crave a routine where I can go to one unit and get to the their staff, routines, and get comfortable. As well as know exactly when and where I will be working and when I am scheduled. I have contacted the HR department and they basically said they would transfer me and would look past the 6 month rule of internal transfers. They suggested I talk to my manager and she would coordinate the appropriate transfer through HR. What I am asking I guess is how would I articulate/word what I am going to say to my manager in an appropriate and professional manner that would get me what I desire and still maintain a good relationship with her?:dzed:
