Advice Needed: Licensing in Alberta vs. BC

Hello everyone,

I'm a Chilean nurse currently in Canada, working through the certification process to obtain my RN license. At the same time, I am in the process of getting my Permanent Residency (PR) through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in British Columbia.

My immigration lawyer has advised me not to apply for licensing in Alberta, even though I've heard obtaining a license there is easier. She believes I should focus on BC due to my PNP application.

Is this true? Based on your experience, would it be more beneficial for me to pursue my RN license in Alberta or BC? I'd appreciate any insights or advice from those who have navigated similar situations.

Thank you!
