Accelerated Program

Would love to hear from people in Accelerated Programs (BSN when you already have a Bachelor's Degree)

How rigorous is it? How are you affording it? Do you have kids, married, single?

I would love to hear some feedback about this too. I would love to do an accelerated program but I am scared it would be too difficult with a 4 year old, a husband and a mortgage. My other option is the ADN but that will take 2+ years versus 13 months for the accelerated program and then I would still want to go on to get my BSN.

I'm in an accelerated MSN program (everybody's got either a BA/BS or MA/MS coming in).

How rigorous? Umm, it moves right along. The first semester was downright brutal and the second was pretty tough. Third and fourth have been a bit more manageable and I hear that the fifth is the lightest yet. It's a lot of work but not particularly difficult on a conceptual or intellectual level.

We've lost a few folks along the way for various reasons.

How am I affording it? Savings, loans, and a working spouse.

I am married and have a school-age child. I don't see my family enough - for sure - but if I manage to find a decent job after I graduate it will have been worth it. I'd definitely choose an accelerated path over a traditional ASN/BSN program.
