ABC Training Center

I'm interested in obtaining more information about the program from former students before making a financial investment. How is the training and clinical portion? How is the job search process with student services? When looking online it stated that you get a certificate for PCT from the school and can sit for the certification exam. Do you become a CNA (take the certification exam) as part of the process or would I have to pay to take my CNA exam separately after completion of the program. I ask so that in the event I can't find work as a PCT I can still work as a CNA and not just a NA because I'm not certified. All information is greatly appreciated. If there are other schools you'd recommend please feel free to share them with me. I like to keep my options open but I'm also in need of something affordable.

I cannot help you w abc. I was stuck in the same situation but I decided I did not want a private institute like abc because I have bad experience w technical schools.

But I did go to an open house at hostos community college yesterday and was able to learn something's that I could not find on google. I am going for Cna btw because once you have your cna and experience you can apply for pct positions or you can bridge into an lpn program. The open house wasn't that great it was short but I did ask some questions I was concerned about. The cost for cna there is $995 but for going to an open house they gave me 5% off. Plus you have $25 registration fee $115 state exam $20 ENTRANCE exam. And the cost of the book. You will need to buy your own scrubs.

I was really concerned about tuition, but I was able to break down my payments. You need to pay $500 before your start day and the rest you can pay while you're in class. My start date is march 17 to April 28 m-th 9-2 It works well for me.

Also they have a program called pipeline which when you call they tell you you have to be on public assistance but that is a lie. In order to qualify you need to be low income period. The only bad thing it's by a lottery so the system picks out the names.

They were able to work w me. Because I was not able to take the entrance exam scheduled on the catalog for today I was told to come by any day next week.

I also spoke to some one at phoenix academy but they're cost comes up to 1500. If I could save a couple bucks I will.

you really have to go in personally to the schools you are looking into. Because over the phone they won't tell you all the ways they can and are willing to help you.

Oh and for the workforce program you have to have some experience in the field you choose. (most of them I was told)

hope I was able to help because no one was able to help me or answer any of my questions.
