A&P Professor Problem

Published

Here is my story..

I decided to take A&P 1 over this summer with a professor who has a very good teaching reptutation at my community college. Due to his medical condition he had to leave 4 weeks into the semester. The dean of the department put another professor from different community college in his position. Ever since this new professor came it has been absoulte madness in the classroom. Not only do I find his teaching style terrible the test grades are proof enough that he is not doing his job as a teacher. The first test he gave in both the lab and lecture portion both had a curved grade of over 30 points! Many people have made complaints to both the Dean and the Provost of the college but nothing is being done. People are withdrawing like crazy. I feel like I have learned absouletly nothing in the time I have been in there with him. I am almost fearing going into A&P 2 with such a lack of knowledge, although I am passing due to the high curve. I feel like dropping the course and starting over in fall. To make matters worse I felt absouletly humiliated in lab today. This is the actual part I need advice on. While sitting at my lab desk reading my textbook the profesoor approached me and asked me if I knew what Kyphosis was. I said to him "no." He proceeded to say "well you have it." and then pulled my shoulders back and pushed my "hump" in. I was so embarrassed! I felt everyone in the classroom was staring at me. I do realize I have this but felt it was completely unprofessional to do this in the classroom in front of my peers. I just need some assurance that I am not over reacting because I know how self conscious I am when it comes to my back. I really want to file a complaint with my school about this situtation because I do not feel I should have to go to class and feel humiliated. I do believe I will be withdrawing. Advice please! :bluecry1:

I would file a complaint - your prof should not have done that to you.
