I read in one of these forums that any military would not accept anyone with an LPN, but then i had a chance to speak with a Navy recruiter face to face on accident and he said that they would accept them and something about goin to the NCP or ROTC and then working 5 years to pay it off! So which is it? I ask because I was enrolling for the LPN program at a school and i didnt want to waste my time if i wont get accepted in the military. What is the truth? Ok this is my plan: My plan is to get my LPN and then go to the Navy for nursing? Can this be done or am i missin something? What will i need to do after i get my LPN if i want to be a nurse in the Navy?

I do apologize for not bein more specific about the question, but i meant am i too late for the Navy? I know its never too late for school but its the Navy that im concerned about because after hearing that if you dont have a nursing degree in BSN, LPN or RN then they wont let you into the Navy at all not even if you want to join and go to school while in there. Is That true?

Im 24 and ive been married for a lil over a yr now, and i just want to know is it too late for me to even get started or should i just not even think about it? This is where my heart is at and my husband is 100% supportive in this, but im thinking that maybe i should have started when i was fresh out of high school or around 19 or so. I want to know what you think on this, because im seeing that alot of people that i know have started when they was 18. :-)

I have done hours and hours, days and days of research on the Navy and bein a nurse in the Navy, but what i wanted to know is: What is the difference between NROTC, AROTC & Navy? What is the Nurse Corps and how can someone qualify for the Nurse Corps? Also which is best to do? I dont mean to sound dumb or ask alot of questions, but its better for me to ask then to get in a situation that im not ready for so i hope i can get some help here, lol! Thanks in advance!

I have been wanting to go to the Navy for 5 yrs now and when i met my husband, i placed it on hold to go to school for nursing in RN as well as i didnt want to be separated from him. So now its been almost 4 yrs and Ive been out of school for 2 yrs i dont know how to go back because of Financial Aid and the Loans i doubt i can get, so i put them both together and decided that i should try ths again by goin to the Navy and bein the nurse ive been wanting to be since i was 10. The thing with this decision is that im married to a wonderful man/minister who is supportive of this, and this is what i need to do for me and also just the thought of bein apart from your other half is very hard, I dont like violence and thats the first thing that comes to mind when people say Navy or Army. What i want to know is do they throw nurses in the wars? Also, should I take this chance and go or just forget about it since im Married?
