Hi Victoriavin! May I ask you what was your GPA when you got accepted? :)

How were the pre-reqs at Langara? What were your final grades? Which teachers did you get? I'm sorry for so many questions, haha! I'm still finishing my high school subjects but I'm so excited to start prerequisites next year. Langara is definitely one of the schools I'm keeping my eye out for regarding post-secondary education. :cheeky:

Hey! no worries, thanks for all the questions wanna help out anyone who was in my position just a year ago. My gpa when I applied with the minimum 15 credits was a 3.2! I actually did my pre-reqs at Douglas College originally hoping to get into douglas nursing, but their program is full. For my 5 courses I did Human Anatomy & Phyisiology 1, Statistics, English(academic writing), and for my two electives I did Human Anatomy&Physiology 2 and a Religions course. I got B's in all except the religions course which I got an A. They may seem like good marks but it's actually my second time around doing most of these courses. I did them back at Langara 4 years ago and I would get like a C and C-.

It took me a while to get things in order so it's great that you're still in highschool and you're already looking into the program. Take advantage of that! My advice for you is to stick it out and do the 5 courses in your first semester, ONLY if you can handle it, that way you can apply and hopefully get into the program the in the following September intake.

Anyways good luck with everything! let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thank you. That was really helpful. Congrats for getting accepted btw.

Would you say that It's competitive to get into Langara's nursing program? What was the typical GPA standards that people got accepted in? Langara only needs prereqs right? Or do you need to volunteer too?
