Hi All!

I am starting a thread to hopefully get to know some of the nursing applicants awaiting their acceptance letters, for the 2014 Oakland Community College nursing program!

I know that this year has been a little different as this is the first year OCC is going off of a "Calculation sheet" other than just GPA. As well as the addition of the HESI admission exam.

So is anyone as anxious as I am?? Does anyone know how many applicants OCC had this year for the program yet?? Did anyone get a perfect '17' score?

Hey! Yes I am super anxious for March 15. My overall points were 15 out of the 17, how many points did you get?

I am so glad you replied! I heard from another comment that student nurses don't use this site for communication very often anymore. I am hoping that we get our letters a little bit earlier! I wish there was some information as to when they went out, or if others got theirs etc. Obviously I am super anxious! I heard that 2012 got theirs about two weeks earlier, but last year they were right on time, so who knows.

My overall points were 15.98 out of 17! So we are close! Had you retaken classes, or did you transfer some in? Are you currently attending any classes at OCC now?

I called the nursing office last week and she said the letters will go out around March 15th. I did not retake any of the 'core' classes but I did transfer in 2 classes for HFCC. I am taking algebra and a computer class now, I know that many bachelors programs for nursing require a statistics class so I will probably take that this summer hopefully with pharmacology if I get accepted!
