Nursing Entrance Exam

I'll be done with my liberal arts associates degree by May. I plan to start applying to transfer into a nursing program in the winter. I know I have to take the Nursing Entrance Exam. I'm curious about the science portion; will I have to balance any any equations like in Organic Chemistry (worst subject for me)? What does the science and math focus on?

Also, what do colleges look for in their entrance essays?

THANK YOU

I think it would help if you specified what type of entrance test like the Hesi or TEAS,etc

I am taking the TEAS early next year and just got the study guides and practice tests a couple of days ago. From what I understand, if it's the TEAs you are taking there is a lot of general science questions on there. From all the different sciences like chem, bio, A&P, physics. You will have to have a basic understanding of all of these. Kind of like what you did in high school. The problem for me is I graduated high school 20 years ago so I don't really remember all of these so I am brushing up with the study guides.
