Hello everyone,

I've finally gotten all of my qualifications in order to apply to a few CRNA schools in my area. I was wonder ing if anyone had any information on the following schools: U of Scranton, New Britain school of nurse anesthesia, st. raphael school of nurse anesthesia and Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. I'm looking for information such as the interview process, what they are looking for and how the program is? Any other info or detail would be much appreciated.

I didn't apply to any of these but wanted to say good luck! Have you used the search function here at all nurses? I usually find a decent amount of info that way, although some schools aren't talked about that much.

Hey Marco thanks so much. Boy has it been a long road for me! About 13 years I have wanted this!I applied to msa and VCU. Have my ccrn done and in one week will take my GRE. Then it is all finished!Good luck! Let us know how things are going for you.

Wow it has been a long journey. I think about the same for me. I knew I wanted this since i was an LPN back in 2004 and have been working towards it since. I cant tell you how excited I am to have finally reach this point. I don't have all the credentials you have. I didn't do the CCRN but I'm hoping to take the GRE next week. BUt I'm hoping for the best. So far I got two interviews scheduled: st. raphael and new britain. Both of which i know little about the interview process and how rigorous it is. How are you preparing for interviews or do you have any tips on how to prepare? Also keep me updated on how things are going with your application. My interview dates are 10/8 and 10/16. that's funny! We have both been on the path a while. I was an lpn first too! So I totally understand the long path.

both places I applied to haven't closed their app period yet...so still waiting I guess. I know my last letter of recommendation went out yesterday. I am so excited too!! It is very surreal to be at this point. I really didn't know if I would ever make it here.

and we both do gre next week! lol

I have searched all over the web for crna interview tips or questions. I made a list I am going to review to have some responses to common questions-altho you never know what they are going to ask. I just did ccrn so I have heard that is pretty good if you have a test at the interview or if they are asking a lot of clinical questions. I am also going to have my manager mock interview me with some of my questions. He just finished his phd so I figure he has been thru a lot of interviews!

Hi Mary, I definitely let u know. I go there next Monday. Today, however, I am going to st. Raphael for an interview. I'm praying everything goes well. Where r u in the process? Are you scheduled for an interview at new Britain?Hi missnurse, how r u? How is the application process going for u. I just took the GRE this past weekend. I got 152 on verbal n 141 on quantative. I wasn't planning on taking the exam. I had assumed my gpa was higher than the 3.5 cutoff but the school informed me I was a 3.44. So I kind of rushed it without putting in the needed quality study time. Do u know what the recommended scores for the GRE are now with the new scoring standard? In n e case, I hope u do well.

I think 300 is the new 1000. I could b wrong though..

yeah. and 1000 was not the highest score either. What i'm trying to say is the cut-off for CRNA school is 300 (at least based on what i read from posts here). Good luck
