need to interview DON for college class assignment

I kindly request the help of any DON, or any nurse in a leader/manager/director type position. I have an assignment due in one week that requires me to interview one of the aforementioned positions or at least ask the following questions for my health care management interview paper:

Select a health services organization.

-Conduct an interview with a health administrator, DON (director of nurses), head of nurses

Discuss the coordination of internal and external services.

o Who are the key players?

o How does coordination take place?

o What activities or processes are in place to ensure coordination?

o How are opportunities for coordination identified, maintained, and sustained?

I would greatly appreciate any help offered. Thank you! -Ielana

I'm sure someone here may help, however, I think a much more productive and informative interview may be had with a "live" DON / manager type in a facility near you. Your instructor, I'm sure, would be more impressed with the effort it takes to arrange and attend a face-to-face meeting with someone local that s/he can "touch base" with than a faceless/nameless "someone out there" . In most towns you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a SNF. Make the effort, you'll be ahead in the long run. :twocents:
