Discussion

My first week is almost over.

I've read a lot of everyones first week in class..A lot seemed to have been overwhelmed and in turn made me VERY nervous about going to school.

I started an LPN program Monday..It's the first semester/module. I am not sure if maybe the teachers are taking it easy on us, or if they truly want all of us to graduate. This week has been a breeze. Most of our homework consisted of reading different chapters in our books. There has been a few homework assignments, but nothing that has taken over my whole night.

My fundamentals teacher is awesome..She is so funny and makes the boring stuff interesting..Though the "Critical Thinking" book is hard for anyone to make that interesting. But the Fundamentals book she really makes us intrigued with all her stories and stuff. We have a test on Monday, but she told us everything it would be on..And told us where in the book we need to study for the test.

Today our English/Medical Terminology/Biology teacher gave us a pop quiz on English. I am positive I got 100% on it. Tuesday we have a test on Medical Terminology...I really like that class..She teaches us what each part of the medical term means...so we can understand what the whole word means...and its kind of easy. This same teacher will start teaching us Biology(A&P) in two weeks.

There are about 54 people in the class..Ack..its huge..And to top it off, it takes almost an hour to get to school..Thank God I carpool with two girls from work..It saves on gas..Unfortunately our clinical will be just as far, if not farther..and they are in Southern CT and I am in NW CT..They don't get as much snow as we get up here...and we will be following their school closings..so we may be stuck traveling through a foot of snow to get there. :( And in clinical we may get split up.

Ok, I've rambled enough. I am excited and just had to share things.
