How time consuming is an Accelerated BSN program? Is it doable for someone who has two young kids? I have a bachelors in another field and would like to go to an accelerated program. I'm just curious how much time is involved in an accelerated program. I'm also considering part time programs that offer an ADN.

It is doable.. if you have the support of a partner or family.

I just graduated last August. 2 girls in my class were pregnant.. one gave birth to twins near the end of our classes. The other had a baby halfway through the program. 2 of the guys had wives give birth..one of them had a set of twins as well!

If you're dedicated.. have a decent memory and can retain info.. have family support and are able to not work for a while to bring in $$, its possibly.

In my program at Downstate in NYC, the 1st summer was hell.. but int he fall and spring, I could have worked if I juggled my time a bit. The last summer was also a killer.
