Wages for RN's

What are the ranges that Rn's are started out working in your LTC, as a floor nurse in your area, as well as MDS cordinators? Tex

Tex, I think this means that we don't want to tell anyone how pitiful our wages are. I'm a MDS Coordinator and I KNOW I'm worth more than they're paying me!

I guess if you are payed by the hr. then it would diff. make a difference. I am salaried. I have learned that salary ='s slavery. Thank God I like my job. I have been salaried with 3 jobs, in home care and w/hospice. Tex

tex, I am an MDS coordinator, have been for 12 years, however I am an LPN. I am also salaried and go on call every 6 weeks, carry the damn pager et al. I am paid more than the staff RN's where I work. I also assess all wounds in our building and recommend tx and have initiated wound protocols. I get paid a little more for this too. Just my 2 sense! dawn

In the nursing home where I work,New Rns make 15.70 an hour and Mds coordinator makes 17.00.

A new grad RN will start at $16.00/hr at our facility. Our MDS person has been with the facility for quite a while and makes $25.00 an hour. The average salary for RNs at our building is $20-25/ hr.

Most of our LPN's are 21.00/hr RN's 25.00/hr.........and this is before shift diff. Gosh, I feel spoiled. :p
