NYC programs

Hi everyone.

I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelors in Psychology (overall GPA - 3.47, major GPA - 3.6).

This year I decided to continue my educated and look into accelerated nursing programs in NYC. I still need to take the prerequisites before applying but I wanted to do some homework before that and see what my options are.

Would you suggest taking my prerequisites in a community college (like BMCC) or should I look into CUNY options (Baruch, Hunter, etc)? Do programs for nursing look into where you went for those or no? Does anyone have a recommendation for a college where they took their prereqs? Also, the main question is what are great schools that offer accelerated programs? I know NYU, Hunter, etc, but I'm sure there are other options that are also very good.

I am set on staying in the city, there is no way I will be going away, that's why I'm intensely looking into school that are close by. I need to take out massive loans to continue my education, but is there a way I can take out a separate loan for rent, food, etc. If you were in a similar situation or have any advice for me please let me know :)

Thank you!
