Does anyone wear Z-coil shoes or know anything, (good/bad), about them? I did a search for old threads but nothing came up. If they are any good I'll probably spring for some. :)

Very punny!
Actually, there was a thread about these particular shoes sometime back.
I've only seen pictures of the shoes, and I'd be afraid the coils would catch in cords or tubings at work. But then, I've never been known for gracefulness anyway...

There have been a couple threads mentioning Z-Coils but they were quite a while ago, so maybe that's why you can't find them.
I remember reading about them and looking them up on the internet. I remember that they were pretty expensive, but the people on the board who have actually used them loved them. I think you have to go to a specific shoe store to be properly fitted for them. I think I remember for my area of the US the closest to me was in Philly.

Theres'a a nurse at work who swears by them. She works ICU. As far as IV lines on the floor? They shouldn't be there anyway. Let us know if you buy some and what they are like!

I wear Z Coil shoes and would not wear anything else again. I used to go through about 3 pairs of Reeboks a year. They are a bit pricey but you can change the inserts and the coils for when you need to. They are designed to lessen the impact of the heel striking the floor and therefor relief all the other minor aches and pains that go with it. I have 3 blown disc's in my back and have knee problems. these are the only shoes for me and are well worth the price not to be in pain after 12 hours on the floor.
yes they are "fitted" to you for max comfort and wear. They come in many different styles. I have a pair of walkers and a pair of clogs.

I looked at a web page of a place that sales them in my area and they are between $160 and 225.
I checked out the website...they seem pretty neat! They remind me of my running shoes...Nike Shox...but a little more "boingie" looking! :rotfl:
I too, am wondering how much they cost
I see the price above...we must have posted at the same time :chuckle
Thanks for the info. :)

I have a pair of zcoils and I really like them. I don't think that I will wear anything else after this pair. They did take me about two weeks to break in but they are so comfy...I have previously worn birks and danskos and these shoes are soooo much more comfortable, IMHO. I have the clog pair. The only downfall, I feel is that the spring gets caught on chairs (with the barstool type foot rest...kind of annoying since all of our chairs at work are this style...). I haven't gotten it caught on any tubing, etc...but I am pretty careful to make sure that I don't...I think you just have to find what works for you...I do have coworkers that love them and a few that they just didn't work for...They definately get more comfortable the more you wear them.
