Your Favorite Drug Handbook

Published

What is your favorite drug handbook? I have to buy one for clinicals and have no idea which I should buy since there are so many. i saw old posts but those are about 3 or more years old thus the reason for my asking. Thank you for your help.

:yeah:

I absolutely love the Davis' Drug Guide Book!

I have the Mosby's 2010 drug guide. At my school, I've used a couple of the other ones. From what I've seen, they're all about the same.

Specializes in Telemetry/IMC.

I have the Saunders Drug Handbook 2009, which is the one I got for my classes. I've never had a problem with it and I have it as an E Book, so I can search through it on my computer for whatever I need when doing assignments.

my school provided us with a PDA version of of Davis's Drug Guide and i absolutely love it. If you guys are allowed to carry around PDAs you should definitely consider purchasing the nursing central subscription. I'm not sure how much it is but it's super helpful in everything from the drug guide to various diseases.

Specializes in Pediatric Hem/Onc.

I agree about Davis. Book or digital. People borrow mine because it has so much more info than theirs. I bought the book with CD and got a free PDA limited version.

Specializes in Psych.

I prefer ones that list drug by class, not by alphabetical order by generic name.

Specializes in MICU - CCRN, IR, Vascular Surgery.

This is the version I have used for years. I am quite happy to stick with it.

I just looked at this one and it looks better than mine. I think I will invest in this one (Mine is from 2009) It looks easier to navigate. :nurse:
