Youngstown State University (YSU) and St. Elizabeth Health Center School for Nurse Anesthetists - CRNA 2025

I applied to St. Elizabeth's through YSU and haven't seen any posts about the May 2025 starting class. Drop a comment if you have any information regarding interviews, stats, etc.

I recently applied and haven't heard anything back, however my significant other has an interview there in a few days. I live in the same city as this program and I've heard from graduates they want you to be able to explain the pathophysiology of disease in the patient population you care for. Hoping to hear back soon, but I heard they got a lot more applicants than they normally do.

My question is are they going to interview more people than they usually do? I know on their website they said they only interview 30-45 people

Hey!

I just got an email that I was accepted into the program! Has anyone else heard back?

AHH congratulations!! I interviewed there about two weeks ago but haven't heard anything back yet.  When did you interview?!

Thank you! I interviewed on July 14th! So I waited quite a bit to hear back! I hope you hear back soon!

Congratulations! Do you mind sharing your stats and how the interview went ? I'm applying for next cycle :)

Sure thing.

Experience 8 years as a CVICU RN and Northwestern Memorial Hospital

I held multiple leadership positions: charge, preceptor, new grad educator (teaching classes), and quality coordinator (preparing the unit for joint commission visits).

GPA 3.4 - took two master classes (A in both) and repeated Ochem class (grade A)

Did volunteering: mission to Ukraine (I'm Ukrainian, so it was something easy to arrange for me), dog shelters, and random events associated with the hospital

The interview was OK; I didn't think I did all that great, but I think I was extremely nervous, too. It was more personality questions. There were about 6-7 people in front, just asking questions. It wasn't rapid fire, more of a conversation.

In the beginning, one of the current students met me, which calmed me down a little. 🙂 Everyone was super friendly, though! If you want to connect further, let me know. I can give you more specific questions 🙂

Have you and your significant other heard back yet? 🙂 Trying to connect with future classmates!
