What is the one supply for nursing school you are going to splurge on?

For me is a good stethoscope.

I splurged on comfortable shoes.

Specializes in L&D, infusion, urology.

Shoes for sure. Already had a good stethoscope.

I good printer. I have a Brothers printer/scanner/copier that I bought on sale for $100. It is awesome! And it's wireless:)

My Erin Condren Life Planner....I couldn't help it ....already have a good steth (Littman)

Specializes in ICU.

I got a good stethoscope and some Danskos for my feet.

Specializes in critical care.

iPad! Those books are ridiculously huge and you'll need them the whole program.

Specializes in public health, women's health, reproductive health.

I'm in my last semester, but if I had to go back and do it all again (God forbid!), I'd place a high priority on a new laptop, as mine decided to just quit working in my first semester. That really made things so much harder for me until I got a new one a few months later. Next in line would be a good pair of shoes. In reality, I opted for the good stethoscope, but found (by trying a few of my classmate's stethoscopes) that many less expensive ones would have done just fine. When it comes to clinical, my best purchase was a pulse oximeter. Those things were scarce and my clinical instructors did not tolerate us reporting vitals one minute later than the time they designated.

Just got accepted, just splurged on a mac book air! :) I had my old computer for 5 years so it was time...I also think I will splurge on getting a good stethoscope, from what I hear it just makes life easier in the end...
