I currently am doing some travel nursing. I’ve been a nurse for 15yrs and would like to think I have a lot of relevant experience in specialty I’m currently working. While working with an agency one of the recruiters said “oh...and Omar edited your resume.” My question is does this sound legit? Am I over the top for the thoughts of potential ramifications? Is it wrong to feel offended? I’m unsure exactly what was done. The fact someone would do that without 1) asking 2) informing me of what they felt would fit better really turned me off of using that agency. I had a previous recruiter do the same unbeknownst to me until I saw the “updated” version of my resume some time after the fact.
Honestly I had gone on and had decided I wouldn’t work with a company I felt wasn’t completely above board. I received a text however with further attempts to recruit. I expressed my displeasure with our previous interaction. I was then told “Well if you’re not okay with us editing your resume to meet a certain standard format, then I’m afraid we can’t help you.” 🤨
So I’m short....am I wrong for my views on this subject?

I don't think this is a  indication that the company is doing anythung wrong.  If all that was done done was to edit the format, without changing the content, then I think this is fine.  However, if the edits changed the content or implies experiences that aren't true, then yes you should be concerned.

Either way, you should have been provided a copy of the edited resume for review prior to it being sent out.

Best wishes.
