I passed my test today after the 2nd time taking it! I'm so excited :) but now the next step for me to get accepted into the LPN program is the nursing interview with the nursing panel.. Can anyone give me any tips or advice for the interiew? Anybody know what kind of questions they ask you & what kind of answers are good to reply with? This will be the last step and will find out the same day of the interview if i get accepted! I'm so happy & praying i get accepted! This will be one step closer to achieve my ultimate goals!!!
Thanks in advance,

They give an interview!? My technical college is not preparing me for all this. I just learned about the TEAS test from my anatomy teacher 3 weeks ago, You'd think the guidance counselor would tell us this. Or at least post it on the LPN page on their website...

Congratulations!
I always try to remember to smile during interviews and pretend like hell to be confident when actually I am really nervous as can be on the inside. I would be prepared for lots of open ended questions such as...... Why did you choose this program? Why do you want to be a nurse? What are your strengths? Tell me about yourself? etc.
Remember to keep it professional, if they ask you to "tell me about yourself" they aren't looking for you to explain your childhood, your family dog, or your hobbies. So keep it clean like "I am a great team player who looks forward to a challenge." etc. Good Luck!
Thnx everyone! The interview was actually pretty basic! Not bad & the interviewer was very laid back so it went by really fast & smooth! She let me know she wanted me in the program within 15 minutes into the interview!!! :)
Most questions were yes or no questions & of course the "Why do you want to be a nurse?" & "What does integrity & honesty have to do with the role of nursing?"

I used the ATI study guide & McGraw-Hill Nursing book! Both were really good, although i liked the MH book more, i think it explained stuff better! Math def know fractions, & long division & percentage. There are alot of math word problems, nothing too much though, Science was very difficult for me, I recieved the lowest grade in science, there was some Chemistry & I have never taken that class.. Reading was pretty basic & easy, reading comprehension & language arts, if the sentence sounds to correct to you it prob is.. Def purchase a study guide it will help alot & refresh your memory on all 4 subjects! :) Good Luck!
