Yipee!!!!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that I got my acceptance letter for my ADN program and have registered for classes! I'm so excited!!!! I can finally say that "I'm a nursing student"!!! :D Orientation is August 13th and we get fitted for our uniforms sometime in September. They'll let us know more at our orientation. I can't wait! My first semester schedule is as follows:

Monday: 9-11:50 Health Assessment

1-3:50 Foundations of Nursing Practice

6-9:20 A&P II

Tuesday: 1-2:50 Foundations of Nursing Practice

Wednesday: 9-10:50 Professional Development (1st 8 weeks)

6-7:15 A&P II

Thursday: Foundations of Nursing Practice (2nd 8-weeks)

So what do your schedules look like? Mondays are going to really suck for me...but it was the only way my schedule would work out. I'm going to start looking for a job soon (I'm quitting my first career August 1st) but I don't know what I want to do yet...maybe a pharmacy tech...I think I'll try to work Thursday & Friday nights and maybe an occasional Saturday. Anyway, I just wanted to check in and let you all know that I got in!! ;)

I don't have my schedule yet, but orientation is two days, Aug 7 - 8. I am resigning on August 5th. I can barely stand it.

I think we go Tues - Fri, all day long for the first 6 weeks. They told us to keep our schedules open.

I plan on working as a CNA on weekends after the first 6 weeks.

*^*^*^*congratulations!!!!*^*^*^*

Congrats, bean!

What a great idea to take a look at one another's schedules; it's interesting how programs structure things differently.

We have a new student picnic in late July, one-day orientation in late August, and classes start Sept 2. Most of my pre/co-reqs are done (only micro and human development are left), so my schedule's not too bad. Here's what I have for the Fall:

Mondays: Nursing I (9 cr) theory lecture 8:55-11:35; Nursing I lab lecture 1:30-2:20.

Tuesdays: Nursing I lab 10:45-12:30; also have to stop at clinical site to review our patient's chart for the next day.

Wednesdays: Clinical 7-3:30

Thursdays: Nursing I theory lecture 9:50-12:30.

I also have an entirely online 3-cr Human Development course.

The only real change in subsequent semesters is two clincial days instead of one.

Best fo luck to all!

I have NRN101 lecture on tuesday night's, lab on friday nights, and clinical from 7:30- 3:30 on saturdays.... plus I'm taking a human growth and development PSY coorifice on Wed......

 I have orientation on Aug. 13th...

I'm so excited, but I know I'll be busy...

Hugs for you, girl!! Good luck

happy

Thanks for all the well-wishes!!!! I can't wait!!
