Xavier or Gurnick?!

U.S.A. California

Hi,

I am currently a student at CSU Stanislaus and am graduating this May with my bachelors in Business with a concentration in accounting. I did 2 internships last year and realized accounting is definitely not for me. For this reason, I would like to go to a private school to become an RN. I am debating on Xavier college in Stockton or Gurnick in Modesto. One of the positives about Gurnick is that it is close to where I live, however, begins in October and is 15 in a half months long! On the other hand, Xavier is a longer commute, begins in June, only 11 months long but the college only accepts 30 students. I missed the first date because I am busy with exams at Stanislaus, but am hoping to make it to the second exam date. I am extremely confused on what school I should attend?? One really important thing for me is that the school have amazing professors. I feel like I would rather go to Xavier because I can get in and out faster, just scared about getting in or not since I am so busy with school right now!:( Please share your experiences if you have went to either of these schools. I would really appreciate your time! Thanks:)

Why not get an accelerated bachelors? It costs more but since you have a BA it could be done in about 1 or 1.5 yrs. not incl prereqs. Check put the college of continuing ed at csu stanislaus and Samuel merrit if you're interested!

I said this because I think xaviar And gut nick both offer only Lvn and I think don't offer bridge programs to RN.

I have looked into the the accelerated bachelors program at Samuel Merritt, however, its a 9 month program and I do not feel comfortable with short period of time. I am a visual learner and do not think I will be able to learn anything in only 9 months. It would take me about 1 year to complete the pre reqs and who knows how many more years waiting to get into the nursing program at CSU Stanislaus. For this reason, I would like to go to a private school (saves time and I will receive experience as an LVN as well). But thank you so much for your advice!! Really appreciate it:)
