Xavier College in Stockton,Ca?

Published

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here as ever attended Xavier College of nursing? If so, how was your experience there? This school seems to be my last option and I'd like to get some opinions first before making a decision.

Thank you

Nope. But I can tell you now that at 25k it's way overpriced.

Merced's program is just under 5k.

All the best!

Yeah, it is very expensive :/ Do you know if Merced's program has a waiting list?

Not sure. However, my fellow former CNA classmate and I (we just graduated from our CNA program) are planning to meet with one of the Allied Health Counselors tomorrow at Merced College at 8 am. We are going to ask as many questions as we can about the LVN and RN program. The school doesn't like to give out information about their Nursing programs over the phone. Their suggestion is always going to be to drop by and see one of the counselors during one of their scheduled tours.

Hello everyone, yes this program is very expensive. Anyone know if its difficult to get in? Is there a wait list?

Update: Merced does have a 1 1/2 to 2 year waiting list for their LVN program, so I was told by one of the counselors to just go for the RN program, since it goes by lottery and merit. I started my prerequisites in September, and I am scheduled to graduate with my RN degree in 2022. At around 5k, Merced has the cheapest nursing programs in the area.

The Xavier College program is not very hard to get in. There is no waitlist, although they only take the first 30 students for each class. Classes start in January and in June, I believe.

Absolute pass, was in one of their cohorts (anon because the cohorts are small and staff are vengeful and unprofessional). It's a family run business and the staff and director of the program are all related. The clinical locations they place you are also run by their family and it leads to everyone covering each others back for all their mistakes. They try to suck you dry with their course costs and you have to fight for them to accept your prerequisites. 0/10 nope.
