I just started following this thread! I just got my acceptance letter too! ? congrats everyone! Can we start a FB group or group text at some point? My sister was in the 2020 cohort and recommends we all keep in communication as much as possible. Again, congrats! I hope to be able to meet you all in person at some point or another!

Make sure you check your spam messages just to make sure.  If you haven't heard anything at least by tomorrow.  I would call or email Ms Leak to make sure something didn't get transposed with emails.  It happened with a couple of folks in our program last year.  Congrats to all who have been accepted, for those who didn't.  don't allow it to deter your dreams of becoming a nurse.

I didn't get in my first time I applied.  I did the work and took care of what I was told kept me from getting in the program and studied to get what I needed to get in order to be accepted.  If WSSU is your first choice do what it takes and reapply(I placed all my eggs in one basket the first time around).  

Also it doesn't matter the route you take to become a nurse.  I've worked with LPNs who have been more knowledgable than RNs I know.  I know ADN's who are just as amazing as BSN's at their jobs. 

If you have other options good luck to you in those respective programs as well.

 

For those who have been accepted please start an ABSN 2021 facebook group and allow those of us who are currently in the program to join.  Good Luck to everyone!

I can't lie, I am beyond proud. She just graduated from NC State in May, majored in Biology. She figured out while at State she wanted to pursue nursing and probably should have switched schools but she was loving her experience there so much we started researching ABSN programs and found the one at WSSU and she's about to embark on the next step of her plan.  I'm a beaming proud mama!!

Congratulations to all that got accepted and to those that didn't, never give up. Everything happens for a reason. It may not be clear at the moment, but clarity will come.
