Hi, I live in Montreal and I never knew about this specialty. Here in Quebec a law has just been passed that nurses who seek higher learning will not be acknowleged. Decreased pay for bac nurses not working in clinics. There is no respect for nurses here!!

I was really excited when I read about legal nursing...I would love to do something like this. but first I need to relocate!!!!!

that is amazing that ya'll are penalized for higher education. no, it makes no sense at all.

so, are you considering relocating?

I vote for northwest North Carolina mountains - all 4 seasons, but no uncomfortable extremes - job prospects are better near the coast though... :)

Siri, I have never felt more like a high priced maid. Speaking of highly priced, We start at $14.00/hr here!!!!! I make, $26.00/h I am taxed 45% of my salary...Another 10% pays the union and the mandatory insurances that covers next to nothing. I am not asking for millions, just a little respect and a chance to feel like I make a diff!!! STAY AWAY FROM QUEBEC!!!!!!

Other parts of Canada treat nurses better...(not sure how much better).:o

I was a travel nurse recruiter back in the 90's - we always had nurses from all over Canada begging for travel jobs in the US - they couldn't find jobs in Canada - often had to have at least 5 years experience before a hospital would even let them fill out an app - new nurses had no chance.... and the health care was another issue......

Hello friends,

Henay, due to the shortage, things have changed in terms of working in Canada.New Grads can now work in specialties like ICU , E.R ect...straight out of school.

Siri, I would like to move to the U.S just not sure how to begin. I need info on how to relocate.:yeah:
