1. Hi. I'm seeking knowledge and experiences regarding wound healing, NOT medical advice.

Long story short, I have a decent sized open area on my hand, between 2 fingers (from cellulitis & a blood blister opening up). draining serous-sero sanguinous fluid. petrolatum gauze to actual open area and non-adheremt dressing between the next 2 fingers.

after dressing change today, I am growing more concerned about the wound healing & closing. Primarily because I am required to wear gloves 95% of time at work and gloves will only keep it more moist.

I have not worked in a clinical area, that sees any type of wound for 5 years and I'm wondering if there is a newer product I'm unaware of. Again, I'm just seeking information or experiences others may have had.

    thank you for reading :-)

Sounds like you should see your provider for some suggestions. Also, is employee health aware that you are working with an open draining wound? That would be an instant pulled from duty at my employer.

Yes, you need to speak to your healthcare provider for the proper treatment for you. We wish you well.
