Hi all,

I am a new grad from the Bay Area in California. This is not news to anyone, but getting a job there as a new grad is intensely competitive, much as it is throughout the country in general. I am considering relocating to Colorado, but I'd like some input on a couple matters.

1) For anyone who has navigated this, on average, how long has CA to CO license endorsement taken?

2) For anyone with hefty school debt, how has the pay treated you?

3) What's your experience with the general nursing culture?

I look forward to hearing back from anyone with opinions 🙂

1) no idea

2) the pay is much lower than California. New grad pay $25-30 hour?

3) Nursing culture is good.

4) Mountains are boring, and we're mostly full anyway ;)

RN pay in Colorado is abysmal, compared to the cost of living.

Most hospitals here have residency programs and only pay $26-$28. With cost of living and a high debt I really would recommend looking elsewhere.
