Worried about NCLEX!!! Kaplan seems too hard!

I am taking my NCLEX on 06/23. I have been studying for 2 1/2- 3 weeks. It's crazy I know but I have a great job waiting for me if I pass! So far here are my scores from Kaplan:

Diagnostic: 54%

Question Trainer 1: 57.3

Question Trainer 2: 61.3

Question Trainer 3: 53.0

Question Trainer 4: 63.3

Question Trainer 5: 64.0

Overall Qbank: 63.0 (All passing level questions I was told)

RN Sample Test 1: 54.0

RN Sample Test 2: 50.0(Was told by my instructor these two were made intentionally hard by marketing lol)

I heard that Kaplan is harder than the NCLEX. Please God tell me this is true LOL!

I am stressed that I am not going to pass! ARRRRGHHHHHH

Those are not bad scores from kaplan, people have done worse and passed. Don't psych yourself out!

Thank you so much! Deep breaths, right? Haha

Yes! Deep breaths, every time you start to doubt yourself close your eyes and imagine yourself succeeding. If that doesn't help refocus you, get out a piece of paper and write this down (you have to actually write it), "I am anxious because....(write down your feelings and thoughts)" When you are done throw it away and think positively again. Good luck!

Your Qbank is very good. I'd have my money on you passing. Good luck!

My scores were a little lower than yours I took mine last Monday and passed with 146 questions. The key is to understand why and how to get the answer for Kaplan. If you understand that, you've got it made. Get in there and read the question reflect back on similar questions and knock out the wrong as and pick the best. Your scores from Kaplan look good to me, considering they are better than most of mine. I think alot of people don't pass because they are so anxiety stricten they forget to read. It's not impossible, reading some of these blogs will make you think it is. Just take your time, read and work it out and you should do fine. Good Luck!!!!

I am not going to say that this is a bad idea, just be careful. Let me explain.....

Now I am talking specifically about my NCLEX experience/test, not all the possible experiences/tests. I find that Kaplan likes to ask questions like "what would you not do", "what would you not promote", or "which intervention would be incorrect" and from my experience NCLEX likes asking about the positives "which intervention would be correct", "what would you do", or "what would you promote". So when you are reading the questions and flash back to Kaplan questions don't go with the answer you remember, read the question again and make sure you know what it is asking you.

Yes you will get questions that are eerily reminiscent of Kaplan, just be sure to read the questions. In fact my first question was exactly word for word one of the Kaplan/Saunders questions I have seen. Your exam results are pretty good so I say go for it!!! How about question trainer 6 and 7. Those are all passing level questions I believe and are good practice for the NCLEX.

Thanks everyone, you rock! Carolina Mom, I will take those this week! I feel like those are make or break! Everyone's advice is so sound!

those scores are awesome! i posted my scores on a different post (the one i made) and i score mainly in the 50s with some 60s and i passed in 75 questions :) BEST OF LUCK!

Your scores look a lot like mine. Be sure to take q trainer 6 and 7. If you still feel unsure, call Kaplan and get them to unlock the readiness test and take it again. I think that really boosted my confidence, I got a 71 the second time. I took the beast yesterday and got the good popup.

I got the good popup!!!!!! I hope it's not a cruel joke LOL.

So I have to ask - How many questions? And did you end up feeling Kaplan was harder than NCLEX ??
