Worried about disqualification in June 2006 Philippine Board Exam!

Published

Has anyone heard about the sad news that the reviewees under Gapuz Review Center in the Philippines are anxious of the initial report that the PRC is going to investigate the issue about the examination leakage that spreaded all over Gapuz reviewees thus if proved true all the examinees board examination papers may be invalid.

The news was broadcasted in one of the popular TV news networks but sadly I was'nt able to catch it. I went inside the TV news website to search for the archive news but found nothing.

I was just worried because my friend happened to review under Gapuz. Any inputs or confimation is greatly appreciated.

i've seen it in the news last night. it says there that the said exam is still under investigation since there's still no evidence to prove that the said review center has done it. however, the news did show some people who testify that the review center, indeed, have the [evil]leakage[/evil]

but i think, whether or not they found the center 'guilty', the exam will still be repeated. because the mere fact that there's a rumor about the leakage, can be--in one way or another--a proof that there's a leakage.

but still, due to the financial crisis of our country, it's difficult to assume if it will be repeated. i guess, the prc and bon, should find the proof right away so that the people who took the exam would know what will be their next step. and unfortunately, i also took the exam. and it really left me hanging, 'till now.

NEWS FLASH! PRC DENIES LEAKAGE IN NURSING BOARD EXAMS!

inquirer june 21.Hurray to all Gapuzian! i know and i do believe that this man is a real genius. Honestly i got hurt when i learned about the news and at the same time so sad coz' i am one of those who believed in the RAGAPUZ REVIEW CENTER . Even though others were trying to destroy his reputation, he still stands out to be the best reviewee i've always known. With due respect to other detractors, you should try to enroll and be fascinated and learn more and also enjoyed studying here coz' its worth the money, the time, the effort and the trust. It's real, there's no such thing as leakage here.We studied harder and its not a joke to answer test questions the whole sessions that you will spend in this review.Sir Ray doesnt deserve all this criticism. His doing his part and gave everything.i remember him saying that " My day starts when your day ends".His selfless dedication and love for making Nurses realized their dreams into reality is unquestionable. It's really unfair for us and most especially to the people behind all of these. The truth is i pity those people who will do anything just to destroy a person's reputation.YOU CAN NEVER PUT A GOOD MAN DOWN.:nono: sO, CHEER UP ALL GAPUZIAN AND PLEASE POST YOUR MESSAGES HERE AND PROVE THEM THAT WE DESERVE WHATEVER WE WILL GET AT THE BOARD.IM PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE A GAPUZIAN REVIEWEE.

Everyone Is Welcome For Their Reaction.......thank You.

it's sad... coz everyone who took the june 2006 nle are affected by this unfortunate tv broadcasting incident... the 'leakage' issue happened in baguio... coz of 'inggitan' bet review centers... the culprit for this unfounded issues could be the counterpart review centers of gapuz who wants to discredit him at the expense of all june 2006 nle board takers... it's unfair that everyone should suffer coz of mere 'inggitan' between these review centers... why can't they just offer good review curriculum to their clients so they don't have to resort to this cheap leak bashing issues... haaay... pls stop fueling the issues (by sending unreliable texts msgs) 'NLE result'... God bless us all!;)

ps.

btw, i didn't review in gapuz... pentagon babies kami...:trout:

here's copy of news for benefit of all June 2006 takers... i suggest you don't patronize malicious rumors on tv or radio being financed/sponsored by the rival of gapuz in baguio...

review centers has become a 'thriving business' venture in our country... it's a shame that in their futile attempt to amass/gain money they have to invent and sensationalized an issue which will affect the future of many people...

a lot of parents will be truly saddened if NLE result will be further delayed... sayang ang time, energy ... plus the hard earned money spent for the education of these people who took the NLE last June... let's help our people, let's not put them down just bec of a few people's selfish agenda....

PRC denies leak in nursing boards

By Alcuin Papa

THE PROFESSIONAL REGULATORY Commission (PRC) denied yesterday there was leak of test questions in this month's nursing board exams.

In a statement to the INQUIRER, the PRC also invited witnesses to the supposed leakage to surface and formally file their statements with the commission, adding that it had yet to receive a formal complaint on the issue.

The PRC also said that "after an initial investigation by the Board of Nursing, the BON concluded there was no apparent leakage."

It said the examination system "has been so streamlined that leakages are now a thing of the past."

The last nursing board exam was administered nationwide on June 11 and 12. The exams are given twice a year in June and December.

Rumors and a TV news report said the leakage was traced to a review center in Baguio City. An examinee, who refuse to identify herself and who hid her face from the cameras, claimed the review center gave out test questions that would come out in the exam.

"On television, the witness hid her identity making it impossible for the PRC to establish whether or not she was a real examinee," the statement said.

"Unless hard evidence is found, the system is nearly fool-proof. With the actual test questions extracted by computer from a database of questions, even the examiner do not know beforehand which of their questions will be asked in the examinations. The test questions are printed inside a quarantined area with security provided by police and the National Bureau of Investigation," the PRC said.

The agency noted that "observers say that the reported leakage was the result of intense rivalry among review centers."

The PRC said that contrary to rumors, it had not cancelled the exams but was now checking the results which are expected to be release next month.

"Compliance testing which is regularly done to determine the statistical probability of results will also be used after the corrections to establish the validity of the test," the PRC said.

A review center, meanwhile, denied any involvement in the alleged leak.

In its own statement to the Inquirer, the R.A. Gapuz Review Center, Inc. said: "While certain quarters have been maliciously spreading nasty and unfounded rumors about our alleged involvement, we have not receive any formal complaint regarding the same. IN fact, we are not aware that there was indeed a leakage. Thus, we object to these malicious imputations against our review center."

i've seen it in the news last night. it says there that the said exam is still under investigation since there's still no evidence to prove that the said review center has done it. however, the news did show some people who testify that the review center, indeed, have the [evil]leakage[/evil]

but i think, whether or not they found the center 'guilty', the exam will still be repeated. because the mere fact that there's a rumor about the leakage, can be--in one way or another--a proof that there's a leakage.

It seems that cereza_18 would like to retake the board exam. I think that cereza_18 is not confident that he/she is going to pass it. The comment "because the mere fact that there's a rumor about the leakage, can be--in one way or another--a proof that there's a leakage." does not make sense to an average perosn. A rumor can be true or untrue; it cannot be deemed as proof when it is not true. In fact, nobody filed yet a formal complaint to the PRC. Why bother more than 36000 examinee with this tsismis. I suppose PRC should not conduct any investigation without first receiving a formal complaint. PRC should have shown professionalism with their job. I think ABS-CBN is irresponsible when it broadcast such tsismis. Siguro they earned big amount of cash from Gapuz competitors. ABS-CBN should be blamed if this rumor spreads to other countries.

RN (Philippines, UK, USA (Vermont & California) :angryfire

I agree with you whammy78. At least now they know what truth is.............

Let's just pray for the success of our Nurses coz' the country will benefit more from their income and reputation globally.

Hello all. I'm also a Gapuz reviewee... I firmly believe that if ever I pass (Well...I hope) the board exam, other people will surely label me as a "cheater" along with fellow reviewees. People have been talking about this "leakage" as if it really exists and Gapuz Review Center is really the perpetuator...

But instead of becoming anxious/angry about these accusations, I really think this would really be a very good research topic to work on.

We, Filipinos,... we would readily believe in any rumors. Siguro, it has already been a part of our culture...OR, maybe,...For example,...And ....

Question is... UNFAIR ....

Y-E-S! -> That would be the answer of most Filipinos ...

From a Fellow Filipino :)

P.S. I'm not mocking Filipinos. Just trying to explore ....

why would some students file a complaint and waste time .... who would want to delay the results noh!!!! pero if they think that it's really unfair they would sacrifice having the results delayed and accept being mocked by others ....

they wanna know why many nurses opt to leave this country well here's the exact reason,,, corruption and unfairness.....

don't blame a news program for being irresponsible and broadcast tsismis... it's the publics right to know and they have the power to make the public updated! if it weren't for them we wouldn't know why are results are being delayed and how could you say that they are biased when they even read the press statement of the review center denying the allaged leak on air.... i'm not a ....

i'm just telling what my brain tells me...

and PS even students in manila know that there is proof because reviewers form (you know where) are saying it themselves...

:nono:

please see reply in read....

you seem really affected ah,,, ...

for your information it's already in the newspapers ...complaint for investigation sa board of nursing...... and they're on to it.... ??????

are you blind! ....results it's been weeks! if there's no problem then they'd surely release the results ...?????

but still nothing ....

so where do you think are the results!!!!!! ....

and how can you say ,.....

i thought this forum was for everybody??? some are just defensive and downright b****y

while some are anxiously waiting for the results ...., 4 years of studying for this???? ......who doesn't know the whole story???? please analyze oneself carefully too if you're gonna comment on something... and ....
