Nursing In Germany

  1. Is there anyone here studying/ied Nursing in Germany? I am wondering if it takes as long as in the U.S. with the pre-reqs and etc. Might be a stupid question but trying to see if there is a way to get a degree faster than in the US.
I have contacted the schools I am interested in the US and all said I need at least 2 years of general studies before I can start majoring in any nursing program. I cannot afford it, so just looking for options. Not trying to avoid studies, I do understand medicine is a serious topic. Thank y'all!

Rule of thumb: study in the country you want to practice in. read the experiences of foreign grads as they spend YEARS trying to qualify for NCLEX.

There are no shortcuts in nursing- you have to take the same path as everyone else.

Also- 'medicine' is serious, and so is nursing. The two are different disciplines.
