Im on an assignment in San Diego, I took a Med\surg float pool position doing nights. Alot of travelers who also do this say they get called off once a pay period. Any info on working per diem with an agency? Anybody have to do this before? Thanks:balloons:

Interesting. Do you not have guaranteed hours even though you get called off? In my travel contract, it forbids me to work per diem or as an RN for any other position during my contract. I am allowed to pick up as many extra days as the facility will allow but I can't work anywhere else.
Would love to hear from others on this too!

I did just this when I traveled. I signed on with a local per diem agency and pulled occasional shifts in some of the other local facilities. Since it was not at the facility that I was working as a travleer there was no conflict. It worked out very well for me.
