Hi - I’m a WHNP/CNM x3yrs in the outpatient setting who is struggling with work related anxiety. I’ve utilized my EAP and tried changing jobs, but I’m wondering if changing my environment/career slightly may help. Does anyone have any recommendations for NP careers that are possible to work from home. I’m familiar with telehealth and also found an opportunity for writing Princeton review. Does anyone have any unique ideas to offer?

any tips on how to break into that arena or even ideas for building the skills for writing?
allnurses.com is always looking for writers
There are several FB pages/groups devoted to developing nurse-writers also.

What about telemedicine?
There may or may not be telemed jobs for women's health listed in your area. But you could pitch the idea to an OB/GYN you know. You could be their NP that does medication management visits via telemed (blood pressure, antidepressants, contraceptives, etc). You could follow patients who have gestational diabetes, who would normally need to come in for frequent visits. You would need to do some research to figure out how to handle things like BP check, urinalysis, etc. But it is being done. This could be especially useful for a busy practice or a rural area.
