Wolford Crna Spring 2017

Published

Anyone in the allnurses community applying to Wolford for 2017 spring start?

I have, and am interviewing next week. Feeling somewhat concerned about all the negative posts I've seen. They are still listed as an applicant by the regional accrediting body. My intention is to continue on for my DNAP in one go, but I am concerned about any potential employment ramifications if they were to lose their accreditation. Where are you in the process?

I've also applied and interviewed with them. I also had concerns about the negative posts, but it seems as if it's the same 2 or 3 people posting negative things..

I actually enjoyed my visit, and could see myself going there.

I've also applied and interviewed with them.

Did the school mention anything about their pending reaccreditation?

They stated that they have an upcoming review from the COA, and that they're going through the process for regional accreditation..

If a potential student is planning on obtaining their doctoral degree from somewhere else and are unsure if another school would accept it, then I probably wouldn't go there. If one is planning on obtaining the doctoral degree from Wolford, or another school that would accept it, then it shouldn't be an issue.

I have just submitted my application, no word yet on an interview. Also interested to learn of the COA site visit next month.

Hello all!

For those who interviewed with Wolford. What was the format? What type of questions were they asking? Was it very formal? Did you know on the spot if you were accepted into their program?

Hello :)

I am hoping to get in for Spring 2017 as well. For those that have sent in applications and/or had interviews, how were your GRE scores? I feel like that is the only thing hindering my application.

Thanks in advance!!

What was the time frame from when Wolford received your application to when you interviewed? Notified of acceptance?

@efemaximux The interview format was very much laid-back. They didn't focus on clinical questions, but rather wanted to get to know you better. They asked questions such as "why Wolford" "why the desire to become a CRNA" etc.. They also go over your past academic career a little. They don't try and intimidate you, but are instead interested in getting to know you better. I don't know of anyone who found out on the spot if they got in or not.

@lmror, BSN, RN I had a total GRE score of 306 total. 302 combined on verbal and quant, plus 4.0 on the analytical writing.

@sigiris I was notified of an interview about three weeks or so from the time that they received my application, but I know someone who had to wait much longer so I think it all depends on how competitive your application looks. They tell you that you'll be notified within 6-8 weeks of acceptance, but I found out in about 1 1/2 weeks.

Sigiris - I was invited for an interview within a few days of my application being in and received an acceptance letter about a week and a half after interviews were held. Good luck!

level1traumaICU_RN: Thanks for the feedback. I will prep the best I can for the interview. So did you get in? If you did are you looking at starting in Spring of 2017? Do you already live in Naples, if not, would you be looking to rent a place and have roommates? I heard rent is high in the area. I am trying to reduce my cost during the program as much as I can.
