Hi..... to all my fellow co-nurses or should i say co- future nurses since i'm not yet licensed! Nice to be here.
I'm a BSN graduate here in the Philippines and i recently taken the board exam here and so sad that i failed. But i'm not losing hope. Anyways, i have a spousal petition which has been filed last May 2006 in U.S.A. But since i'm still waiting for it to be approved ... I wanna take the NCLEX in hongkong this november, for a license in california board of nursing. Can i take it even if I ddnt pass the Local board exam here? and if i can take it and luckily i passed i heard that they can't give me social security number...i wanna know why...is it true?
Another thing, i found an nclex application form to california should i first process that before scheduling an exam in hongkong? Thank you very much for your time! Looking forward to your replies.

I would check with the Homeland Security office who is now assuming immigration in regard to your social secuity office.
I have no idea about the failure of your local test and taking the NCLEX in Japan -- perhaps the BON in California would be helpful.
I am glad your not giving up and sorry I could not have been more helpful.
