Online nursing school?

Are there any schools that make it possible for you to take your gen eds and nursing courses entirely online? I work two jobs so going back and forth to classes isn't very practical right now. I live in green bay if that helps.

you will always have clinicals that are pretty time consuming. most programs offer some of their nursing classes online but again the most time consuming thing is the clinicals. good luck.

I'm also pretty sure they can't be an accredited program (unable to take NCLEX) without clinical.

Well by the time clinicals come around I would have more time available. I was just hoping to get started.

The first nursing class is fundamentals and it usually comes with a lab component or clinical so I highly doubt that you can take it online. I have never heard of any straight online rn programs before. Also I doubt you can take the prr reqs fully online either as it's generally including things like microbiology, and anatomy and physiology which comes with labs.

My advice is that if you really want to be a nurse, then you need to set some time for it. Nursing requires dedication and an enormous amount of time. If you're too busy at the moment then it might not be right for you at the moment. Perhaps start when you have time.

My other piece of advice is that you can start the other classes online first, classes like English, math, psychology might be offered online. But as for the nursing class you really have to devote yourself to it.

Fox Valley Technical College has a lot of online pre-reqs that you could take and transfer into your program. Even A&P I can be taken online (however not Microbio or A&P II). Do some research - most pre-reqs can be taken online, but no core classes can be.
