Hi! I'm putting this post for everybody to post their reasons why they want to pass NCLEX and what motivates them. I failed twice already and I'm losing confidence so this thread might help me remind of those things and goals that I want to reach! No judgments! lol :) So maybe if ur losing hope come back to this post and maybe it will motivate you!
I want to pass because:
>I want to make my mom Proud
>I want to get a better job that I have right now
>I miss the hospital setting so bad
>I want a better pay rate lol
>I want get to that feeling of satisfaction on helping others
>I want to travel
>I want to finally get a car (bro won't co-sign for me unless i pass)
>I want to back home (Philippines) for a vacation after being stuck here for 2 years and get to see my friends and family. :redbeathe
I'll add up more if i remember lol....
How about you guys? what motivates you to pass?

Well other than the obvious( I want to pass so I can get my license and become a nurse), I want to pass b/c:
I will work my butt off in school to make good grades and if I don't pass my NCLEX then all of that hard work will be for nothing.
I want to prove that I can apply what I will learn in school on a critical thinking test.
I want to get a job asap after I graduate and pass.
I want to say "I did it, I'm a licensed nurse!"
Those are the reasons I want to pass my NCLEX...
And to the OP, I'm sure you'll pass the next time. I hear a lot of nurses don't pass on their first/first few tries so keep your head held high and I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya :redbeathe

Hi there I just passed the nclex RN. Took it last 23rd of April. I wanted to pass the test so I can share my journey with other people and other nurses. TO TESTIFY of my faith, and that my God truly exist. People listen to you when you WIN in life, because they see the results. Also, I want to take care of sick people, give them hope, and let them feel the genuine love and care that is comming from my heart and flowing into my hands. Patients do feel and know the difference of nursing care that is compassionate, compare to the nursing care out of just doing your job and getting your pay. Other reasons are; I want to have more money beacuse I can help a lot of people, drive nice car, nice house, and other material things, etc., I just really want to WIN in life so I can draw more people to my faith. Because it is my God who will make this things possible. Not my own strength, talent, or skills. And at the end of the day im just thinking that I will meet Him, and be accountable to Him.
Dont lose your confidence. God is merciful. Just do your best, study hard so God will know how serious you are in taking down this NCLEX beast. God bless your exams. You can make it!
^ thanks guys... I know it happened for reason... God gave me so many chances to actually give me enough time to study but i still failed him by being lax... I never felt any pain when i failed the 2nd just because I knew i ran out of time... i focused more on family problems and had trouble balancing time and work. I believe you just have to try and try and try even harder....then when you finally achieved success it will never be as rewarding as it could possibly be for you.... can't wait to post on my facebook page "USRN" after my name :-)
It will happen. just right on time. Do your best and God will do the rest. Soon you will be US-RN too. Just like the rest of other here.

what were your preparations for the nclex? this is my second time around. i want to pass so badly!
I posted it with a title "Woot! Im RN today" if you want to look at it please do ... when are you planning to take your exams? I used Saunders Q & A with the CDs and Kaplan strategy book with the cd also.
may 27th..did you study content? or u just did questions and studied through the rationales?
^ ei im using saunders too, i took the second time without even reading it and i almost passed through the mailed result, it's really helpful. plus i finished the kaplan book and cd and also listening to some Audio reviews... now, I bouht the online review of HURST and so far im enjoying it and really learning a LOT! especially for my case that i graduated 2 years ago which make it more hard for me... lol im taking it this 2nd of June!
Just use whatever materials that are helping you alot. I answered 200 questions everyday utill the day before my exam. Some books are saying that you should atleast making 77% before you take your exams, But since April exams are more difficult, I make sure that Im making 85% just to make sure that I will pass. But in all honesty, when I sit on the exam table on my test day, It was totally different. AS IF you have never studied at all. So I just prayed hard that i will pass. Thank you sweet Jesus He never failed me. It was my first time to take the exam.
Just study hard, pray and trust God. He will deliver you. You can make it! have faith in your self, but dont lean on it. A lot of things can still happen on the exam date so put your trust in the Lord.
im using nclex 4000, saunders and comprehensive review for nclexrn. my score range from 65-70 only.
just questions and rationales, never studied content anymore anyway you will learn it on rationales, and whenever I encounter something in the questions that I dont really know. I look at the internet. I even studied the cdc.gov... I learned of MRSA and clostridiun difficile, TB, RSV and i had questions like that on my exam. Just make plans that works best for you.... Gob bless on your exam. You will soon be RN too.
