Who went to Keiser College?

Who has been to keiser college? Did you like your stay? was it too expensive? Any info helps, Thanks!!!

I am completing my pre reqs for nursing. I have by BS in Health. I am at BCC now, looking at other colleges for nursing. I wanted Keiser but other classmates tell me Keiser is losing its creditability. Does anybody have any continuing comments? I will need to apply by end of year.

Specializes in SNU/SNF/MedSurg, SPCU Ortho/Neuro/Spine.

they are just finishing up a brand new building with labs and such for the nursing classes, i dont think they are having any problems!

Specializes in ICU, ER (ED), CCU, PCU, CVICU, CCL.

I said in another thread that from what I have seen..... they give me good students to teach. They are attentive, willing to learn and better preparred than the community college students.

So far i like the program a whole lot!

i am going to start my program in september Keiser in orlando FL!!!

I do love Nursing and thank God with the shift differentials+weekend, i would be able to pay off my loan,... and stuff!!

RN does not make a lot of money but right know i make 2/5 of what an RN makes, and can struglle ok! so that will definately help!

main goal here CRNA!

DO YOU LIKE THE KEISER RN PROGRAM STILL??

"big money"

I just started my rn job, and it is not 'big money' at all. Prices of houses are so expenses, and plus all the other living expenses we have nowadays...... us RN's do not make 'big money'

I did this for the love of nursing, not for money at all.

I see this quite a bit on this board but keep in mind many of us are transitioning in from non-health care fields where the pay is significantly less than RN pay so by that definition RN's do make good money.

I would not go to that school for the amount of money they ask for an associate's degree.

I know it's a private school, and I would pay $10K for the program, but $30K is ridiculous for an ASN, an a new RN program

Sorry to bump an old thread but I just need to know...even if you set aside the wait list (I wouldn't mind waiting to get into a more affordable nursing program. I agree that these private schools engage in price gauging.) But it seems impossible to get into a CC nursing school if you don't have a very high GPA. So wouldn't you agree that a school like Keiser, as overpriced as it is, is also the only option for a nursing student candidate who has a "B" average instead of straight A's in their pre-reqs.
