Published

Hello guys, I would like to know which wheeled backpack will hold up for 2 years. I was researching the jansport driver 8 wheeled backpack, in spite of all the good reviews some ppl said the handle came off after a few weeks.... it's also around $110, so now I hesitate to get it. Anyone have an tips for me? Thank you

My school had one with their logo for $40 that lasted 16 months. Or Office Depot sells an egg crate style with wheels and a handle for $20.

I found that it wasn't necessary to have anything more than a standard backpack/shoulder bag. Following the syllubus, I only ever needed a couple books any given day.

I just used a regular backpack. The same one I carried junior and senior year of high school actually so it was a few years old. Of course our parking garage was right across from the health careers building so I was able to keep books in my car and switch them out as needed (ex: peds lecture in the morning and cardiology in the afternoon I wouldn't carry both books around all day)

If you do need a book bag on wheels, I suggest a small 16x12 rolling luggage-style suitcase. You can find them in the luggage aisle of WalMart, Target, Ross, TJ Maxx, KMart, and most big box retailers for prices that start at $20.

Unless you really need a wheeled bag for some reason I suggest I regular backpack. I rarely need to carry more than my laptop, 1 binder, a notepad, and a lunch. Most of our books have online versions you can access with buying the physical copy, and many of my classmates just bought the e-book for reduced price.

If you do want a roller-bag the more luggage style bags seem to last better.

I am not sure if there is a wal-mart near you, but here is the link for the one I have

I, as well as 4 others in my cohort got the same exact bag and it has worked out for all of us. It is hard cased so your books are safe and dry, and it has some inside compartments to fit discs or cables and pens, etc. I love mine. Hope this helps!

Wish I had known about this one! Looks perfectly suited for school.

I bought a high Sierra rolling backpack for $59.00. I need ed lots of pockets and storage which it has! Also, I always like to have all my books so I don't have to do last min runs to the car..the students at my school all have some forms of rolling bag as our teachers actually lecture from them.

I used a regular backpack. I was somewhat annoyed by those who dragged around wheeled luggage everywhere. They end up in the walk ways or on chairs that would be better used seating students. JMO

I use a rolling laptop bag because I have to take two laptops with me to school...one for school and my work-issued one, as I work remote during the day between classes and I have so much stuff to take with me it's just too heavy to carry especially as I have to walk all over a large college campus. I bought a Wenger Swiss Gear one because it's incredibly well-made and hard-wearing. This bag is great because it has two laptop pockets and two front pockets. It's the best bag I've ever owned. It's not cheap but quality is important or it would just break. So far it's lasted me a year and I use it every day.
