Hey everyone , I am getting geared up for my first clinicals in nursing school and I am not sure which watch I should buy. Since I am a nursing student=not much money left so... I know i need one that will be easy to clean and keep for a long time I saw one I really like but the band is made out of silicone not sure how easy that is to clean any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks

I just bought that same Casio! The rubber strap and the fact that it's water-resistant will make it easy to clean, it has military time notation on the face, and the goofy rainbow-colored numbers make me a little bit happy when I look at my wrist. :)

I bought a small white watch with a leather band from WalMart for six dollars and I LOVE IT. It's waterproof (which is obviously necessary), but not only that it's very slim. A lot of my friends have larger bulky ones that get in the way when they're in some sort of weird position holding someone's body during a dressing change. I figured I can get a new nicer watch (I found some really awesome Nike ones) once I get a job as an RN!

I like the Walmart which watches too. You never know where that watch will end up.

I am going into my 3rd semester and I swear by my Timex Weekender. It offers everything I need, including military time. The watch band is fabric, but after each clinical shift I take the band off and clean with soap and toothbrush.
Thank you all so much for the suggestions I think im gonna go for the one you posted a picture of :)

Something cheap and waterproof/ resistant. I got an awesome waterproof watch with both military and regular time at a sporting good store. It was normally 50 and I got it for 20 on clearance because the case was cracked.
I started with a silicone banded watch I got off amazon but it broke after a week.

I just got one off Amazon, waterproof, military time, sweeping second hand and inexpensive. All my nurse friends said do not spend alot on a watch. As long as it does what you need it for.
