Which is quicker when applying for college and financial aid

Published

i have a question about applying for college and financial aid. which way is quicker applying online or by mail? i'm trying to apply for the fall semester and the college that i'm wanting to go to starts on august 21st.

online, definitely.

Good luck!

Definitely online, especially for financial aid.

ONLINE. . .SNAIL MAIL. Won't mean a thing if you don't get all the other required documents in ASAP as well (i.e. high school transcripts or GED transcripts, SAT or ACT test score transcripts, letters of recommendation if they are required, proof of residency). The admissions offices don't make final decisions and/or the school usually won't let you register for any classes until ALL the required materials for application have been received and they have had a chance to review them.

I would apply online. The college that I applied to required a financial aid application to be filed prior to March 1st in order to receive priority processing. I can't imagine starting the financial aid process right now when you are supposed to attend in August. I filed my financial aid 6 mos. ago and haven't even officially been accepted yet from the waiting list.
