I started dreaming about becoming an RN soon after I graduated a Medical Assisting course in high school. I worked in a couple medical offices, then a hospital. I went on to community college and started working on prerequisites. That community college was over full and it became challenging to get into some of the most basic classes. There was also a long waitlist for RN program. I became discouraged and dropped out. Fast forward 15 years, a husband, and two kids. I now more than ever want to go back to school for nursing. I have again sought out local community colleges, but sadly they all have a waitlist. Would you recommend a private school? If so, which one and why? I appreciate any assistance.
