Which psych area do you find the calmest-- Adolescent, Geriatric, or general adult populations? I guess which in your opinion has fewest patient outburst?

[mouse]...which psych area do you find the calmest...[/mouse]

i have worked all 3 units at some point however mostly with adolescents. they all have their moments.... i can't say which is the "calmest". the facility i am at now has 3 units (child/pre-ad; adolescent; & adult). it seems there is always a code being called about once a week on all the units and that is just on nights.

:uhoh3: i don't think there is a calm unit........ :uhoh3:

I don't know about the differences between units (adult/adolescent) but I imagine a hospital that doesn't take committed patients would be calmer. My county doesn't have any committed beds and farms everyone out (some to my unit).
