I was in my bed and woke up to the noise of my upstairs neighbor. No snow here, barely even chilly.

In my bed finally! I spent 2 nights sleeping with my 5yo as his older brother thought it would be amusing to watch goosebumps with him. It's cold here but no snow thankfully! I hope you get back to your bed soon!

about 40 minutes south of my work place they got hammered with snow, we got about 4" so we got lucky. :) I was preparing to stay late if I had to, but I was determined to sleep in my own bed, which I did. Otherwise it would have been a night in the school of nursing dorms... ick... cockroaches live there. =P

Lucky for me I was off Fri, Sat, and Today, so I spent all 3 nights in my own bed. I will be up at 430 to get thru the more than 2 feet of snow to be at work on time tomorrow.

Been there and done that, I live in Northern MN this year so far very little snow. But Last year I would spend every other weekend sleeping in the rehab room on the padded bench with lots of Pillows. some times it would be for 3 to 4 Nights due to blizzards. I live 30 Miles away from the facility. You do what you gotta do.

we had almost 2 feet here. I worked friday and saturday nights. made it home saturday morning and had a co-worker pick me up in her 4W drive and arrived 30 minutes early for saturday night shift. home by 8 sunday morning. Some areas in the hospital had call in issues but for the most part it was from the individuals you'd expect it from. Every one else with a good work ethic and personal responsibility found a way to get there.

We had weather here as well. I'm a nursing student, but I was a counselor in my previous life and I work part-time for an EAP company. I've been at work since Friday night. Actually, I'm still here. I slept on a cot in my bosses' office. It was easier than making the 40 mile drive home on black ice only to return for 3rd shift in a few hours. Gotta love winter *sigh* :typing

sorry, ruby vee, that you've had to be "work-bound" by the weather! my heart goes out to all of you in those snowy areas where the roads are treacherous, preventing co-workers from arriving to relieve you! i really hope you get to go home soon! we don't get a lot of snow in our part of the us. i slept in my bed for which i am very thankful!
