Hi All,

I am trying to find an LVN/LPN with office-clinic experience in the Fort Worth area. The ad in the main paper was pretty much worthless.

Any suggestions about where to look?

If you were looking for a job what do you do?

Thanks!

Pay relocation expenses from the east coast? Just kidding..

Have you tried indeed or simplyhired? I find careerbuilder (usually linked to local newspapers) relatively useless. You can try contacting local nursing programs, many have active alumni who can be contacted with job alerts. Plus the instructors often keep in touch with former students and can make recommendations. One of the pedi agencies I work with contacted my alma mater and has been very successful in recruiting competent nurses.

I would contact the job placement folks at the local LVN programs, especially Concorde Career Institute, Platt, etc. A sizable number of new LVN grads have many years of clinic experience as front/back office medical assistants, yet they cannot find work in the ultra-competitive D/FW area.

Call the school and let the career services folks know you're seeking an LVN with previous clinic experience. I'm sure they'll be able to hook you up with a currently unemployed LVN with a wealth of good office/clinic experience in addition to student loans that need to be repaid. Good luck to you.

Thanks Commuter, I would take a new grad with office MA experience in a minute. I will try those schools.
