Many thanks!

Our community college had them, also a university did them. One of the hospitals is now having a program for nurses reentering and is also giving them a job. I was thinking about this one since I've been doing LTC for the last 10 years.

just found one: Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA. $1,500 for three weeks. Haven't done it yet. Friend did and said she was glad she did it.

I know there is one in Houston. You might contact your BON for more information. Texas requires that the course be "certified". In other words, they want you to get a quality education, not just go through the motions. Other states may have qualifications too. If so, they will have a list of the "certified" providers.

If anyone is aware of a nursing refresher course in New York, I would be more than grateful. I am a new working nurse, but would like to know if there is a place I can sort of count on to revisit old skills that have not been used, such as tube feeding or such.
oops, posted the same thing twice; sorry!

I was unable to find one, in NYS, between 2000-2003. I checked with BOCES and two local community colleges-nope. Here in Florida, the county Vo-techs offer a refresher's course that last for a semester. In classes lectures and clinical experience in a local hospital.
